Shades of Insight Therapy is a Maryland-based virtual private practice dedicated, first and foremost, to creating a safe, affirming space for women of color. Our mission is to empower women of color to thrive through culturally responsive care. We believe everyone deserves to heal. Common presenting issues include perinatal/maternal mental health, interpersonal concerns, life transitions, career stress, race-based stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Job Description

We are seeking a licensed mental health counselor to join our growing practice. This is a fully remote, part-time position with flexible scheduling. Ideal candidates are passionate about serving women of color and skilled in evidence-based therapy approaches.

Compensation

$60-$70 per client hour (fee-for-service)

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual individual therapy for adult clients (primarily women of color)
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in our EHR
• Collaborate in case consultations and team meetings as needed
• Uphold professional and ethical standards of practice

Requirements

• Active, independent Maryland license (LCPC, LCSW-C, or equivalent)
• 1+ years of post-licensure clinical experience
• Experience working with women of color
• Comfortable using tele-health platforms and electronic documentation
• Minimum availability: 5–10 clients per week
• Knowledge of most recent DSM-5-TR criteria and ability to diagnose with accuracy and in accordance with client’s clinical presentation, verbal report and responses to assessment tools.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to deliver appropriate care to BIPOC, AAPI, Latinx, LGBTQ+ and all other minority groups.
• Write clinically sound treatment plans, progress notes, and diagnostic assessments for each client.
• Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
• Contractors are expected to provide their own laptop/computer with audio/video capability (i.e., webcam), reliable internet access, and a private location for use during sessions
• Maintain case files within the provided Electronic Health Record (EHR) that are up to date

Preferred

• Bilingual therapists strongly encouraged to apply
• Previous private practice and/or virtual counseling experience
